This community engagement aims to improve skills in batik design through digital applications. Islamic boarding school or also known as pesantren is Indonesia’s oldest religious educational institution. Along with rapid industry advancements, such a school is expected to follow the development by creating innovations with commercial and representative value. Studies have shown that video podcasts, which incorporate education and entertainment aspects, are effective as a medium to study language and medical subjects among students and clinicians. It is well known that the economic development of a country largely depends on the economic development and the living standards in rural areas. Yet, it is also a fact on the contrary that there is a major problem faced by rural entrepreneurs, namely illiteracy. Illiteracy causes some other problems, including lack of financial resources, low business management skills, lack of proper marketing, and lack of human resource management.
