Simulating Function Generators And Oscilloscopes In A Virtual Laboratory Environment, Yiyang Li, Yuzhong Shen, Charles I. Sukenik
Modeling, Simulation and Visualization Student Capstone Conference
This paper discusses the development of a virtual laboratory for simulating electronic instruments commonly used in science and engineering courses, such as function generators and digital storage oscilloscopes. Mathematical equations are used to represent continuous signals and ensure signal integrity, while C# delegates are adopted to enable communication between simulated devices. The approach allows for loose coupling between software components and high cohesion of individual components, and can be applied to other virtual laboratory developments. The virtual laboratory provides a means for students to gain hands-on experience with electronic instruments and improve their understanding of theoretical concepts.
Examinar El Desarrollo Professional En La Educación Bilingüe (Professional Development In Bilingual Education And Its Effect On Teacher Preparedness), Cody Boozell
INSPIRE Student Research and Engagement Conference
Thesis: With the expansion of bilingual education, dual immersion teachers are being constantly neglected as a result of the lack of training that they receive, putting them at a disadvantage in meeting the unique demands of being bilingual educator.
Studying Abroad In College: Investigating How A Living-Learning Community (Llc) Impacts Students, Stella Erbes, Rebecca Jackson, Eunice Sim
Studying Abroad In College: Investigating How A Living-Learning Community (Llc) Impacts Students, Stella Erbes, Rebecca Jackson, Eunice Sim
Seaver College Research And Scholarly Achievement Symposium
The purpose of this mixed-method study was to identify which elements of a living-learning community (LLC) based in one of Pacific University’s (pseudonym) signature study abroad programs influenced students’ intellectual, personal, social, and spiritual growth. Thus far, 108 undergraduates completed an online survey composed of 32 questions that addressed five sections: 1) Consent, 2) Demographics, 3) Input, 4) Environment, 5) Learning Outcomes. Preliminary results found that personal travel, the educational field trip, and the program staff were the most influential factors in student development. Conclusively, 99.1% of participants reported intellectual, personal, and professional growth, while 76.1% reported spiritual growth.

Finding Equity In Education, Isara Krieger, Carlos Hoyt, Change Cadet, Innopsych Organization
National Youth Advocacy and Resilience Conference
In our program, Isara seeks to use The Highest Standard documentary film as a conversation starter with educators, educational activists, mental health professionals and students that are part of the film to discuss what tools are available and what tools that should to be created to support students of greater need in the classroom and beyond.

Pathways To Adult Education For Emerging Adults Surviving Poverty, Crayal V. Sisuse
Adult Education Research Conference
This research seeks to investigate African American emerging adults living in under-resourced communities while pursuing education and career pathways. In this study, the researcher will employ the emerging adult theory.
What Is Active Learning? Perspectives From Five Stem Professors' Teaching Practices In Their Classrooms, Iliana Correa
What Is Active Learning? Perspectives From Five Stem Professors' Teaching Practices In Their Classrooms, Iliana Correa
Capstone Showcase
This senior thesis investigated what ways, if any, STEM professors incorporated active learning pedagogy in their undergraduate classroom in a small private university in the northeast USA. STEM pedagogy was investigated because of the increasing prominence of active learning methods in the classroom compared to the didactic type of teaching that was prominent in the past (Eichler, 2020). A qualitative case study of five STEM professors was conducted and involved collecting data from biographical questions, a one-hour interview, and the analysis of a document provided by the professor that could have been a lesson plan, an assignment, or an activity …
