Who Is The Parent?: Helping Parentified Children In The Classroom, Samantha R. Gulon

This research and following paper results from a Masters Class assignment. Two classmates and I found the word Parentification in our research regarding disenfranchised students. The purpose of this study is to determine parentification, establish a potential profile of parentified students, and to provide information for educators to help these students in the classroom. Parentification is the role reversal of parent and child. My review of the literature concluded that all children are parentified in some manner.
