Hence, it is important that a provision for teacher leaves-of-absence be included in the personnel policies of every school system.

This study traced the history of the SS&If Program at Richmond College from its inception in the early 1950's to the beginning of the 1962 fall semester. It was found that the program has not only assisted the Admissions Committee in giving doubtful applicants with potential a chance to qualify for admission, but also it has been of assistance in holding admissions standards high in a time when enrollment was needed. For the past five years physical education programs in Richmond area secondary schools have placed considerable emphasis upon physical fitness testing. The majority of the schools are ut ilizing a test battery published by the American Association for Health, Physical Education, and Recreation. Results of these tests are utilized to compare one student with another and to compare one school withanother. These comparisons are made known to the students and to the public.
