The aim of this study is to examine the reasons for school leavers at the secondary education level, to make suggestions to prevent these dropouts, and to reveal the opinions of individuals having left school about school dropout. In this study, both qualitative and quantitative research models were used. The sample consists of 221 students studying at eight secondary education institutions and 38 individuals who have dropped out of the school, also to deepen the research results eight individuals dropped out. Prior research has indicated that assistive technology (AT) devices and services can improve the functional capability of students with autism, which includes multiple areas of student needs, such as communication, accessibility, organization, sound, sight, academic skills, mobility, and memory.
