Based on previous studies that assert that for-profit organizations have the capacity to create value in education, I assume that the private educational sector can take on a great role in advancing educational outcomes. This study explores assumptions about organizational culture and adaptive leadership styles as a basis for creating shared value (CSV) in the education for-profit sector. Through integrating educational leadership theories and leadership characteristics in CSV practices, the adaptive leadership characteristics appeared in this study present the values and assumptions for leaders. Sexual violence is a pressing issue on college campuses. Evaluations of prevention programming on college campuses have shown to increase knowledge about sexual assault and increase the use of resources on campus, but current programming has been unsuccessful in reducing violent behavior. Male student-athletes are found to be incorporated in an extensive amount of sexual assault complaints and specialized prevention programming for this population does not exist. An examination of the literature on effective prevention strategies show that dosage, timing and sociocultural relevance has been found necessary for behavior change. This explorative, inductive, applied research study aims to examine the intersection of intercultural communication of values and leadership identities and capacities. Using existing and guiding cultural value theories, experiential learning techniques, meaning making ideologies, and adult learning principles, a two-and-a-half-hour intensive workshop was designed for a group of twenty-eight leadership and entrepreneurship students, predominantly Mexican nationals at the Tecnológico de Monterrey in Mexico, City. Specifically, the study demonstrates how culture affects leadership identities and capacities using the agreed-upon symbols, rituals, heroes and values that make up each culture’s perspectives, practices or applications of culture in everyday life. This paper explores the concepts of cultural intelligence (CQ) and transformational leadership in the context of graduate students’ participation in short term study abroad programs offered at a small, private university. While existing literature is explored, the findings discovered through a self-conducted research study, indicate that participation in these particular programs raised levels of motivational and behavioral CQ significantly amongst participants. The author utilized a pre and post-test design to survey two programs, one that traveled to Northern Ireland and the other to Brazil. The student bodies of universities are made up of a diverse financial class of students which utilize various methods to cover financial obligations on campus, even with the use of welfare governmental assistance. Low-income students that are involved in government welfare programs are given an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card to support them while they are pursuing an education; however, every university in San Diego, CA (and nearly the entire United States), segregate EBT into an unacceptable category and refuse to accept the card at any venues on campus.
