Substance use has the potential to impact a student’s academic success; however, school counselors are in a position to intervene and provide support to these students to potentially mitigate the impact of the students’ use. Research shows that school-based interventions are effective in reducing substance use, but school counselors may not feel clinically prepared to provide these services. Continuing Medical Education (CME) interventions continue to be an important factor in the lifelong learning of health care professionals. Online interventions have become increasingly popular since the inception of the Internet. A number of case studies in the research literature address the negative effects and perceptions associated with working at a call center. The present study focused on student employees who work at an outbound call center operated by and for their university. The purpose of this study was to examine the students’ perceived roles as call center employees, as well as how these perceptions change over time. Globalization and the state of the world today increase the demands and pressures on nations. The preparation of teachers requires the elevation of international knowledge and experiences to address the diverse needs of societies. This study investigated the effects of study abroad programs on teachers’ personal and professional development. A mixed of data collection methodology consisting of quantitative and qualitative methods were utilized in this study. Thirty-two teachers who experienced a study abroad program were surveyed and 3 educators who accompanied teachers abroad were interviewed.
