As educators learn to amend to the Common Core State Standards, they are left with little-to-no time for subjects like science and social studies as the focus is primarily on reading and English language arts. History is slowly becoming a background routine for educators and is falling behind centerfold curriculum in classrooms across the country. This is inclusive of the studies of individuals who helped shape our country and nation.
