This thesis addresses the essential researched-based components of effective bullying intervention programs in K-12 schools. It provides an overview of bullying which includes; a definition, types of bullying, bullying motivation, and the effects that bullying has on adolescents. The thesis also identifies risk factors that are associated with bullying victimization, as well as risk factors associated with becoming a bully. These risk factors support the need for bullying intervention programs. The purpose of this literature review on collective teacher efficacy and collaborative working environment strategies completed in schools settings from Pre-K-university level, was to help guide teachers and school leaders to examine their faculty’s level of self-efficacy, and to propose actionable steps on how to promote levels of self-efficacy. This literature review addresses teacher self-efficacy at three different levels: school leadership, longevity and job satisfaction, and student achievement. This paper addresses the following question: How does student perception of teacher appearance, age, and community connection affect student achievement in the classroom? Literature from ERIC, EBSCO, Google Scholar, National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), Sage Journals, and the Gutman Library at the Harvard Graduate School of Education was reviewed for international academic studies published between 1960-2021. A variety of qualitative and quantitative research was considered from elementary, secondary, and post-secondary institutions. This paper examines the state of the Chinese as a Foreign Language (CFL) education system in the United States at the K-12 level. The approach to this research first demonstrates the importance of Chinese language expertise to the United States government as well as to private citizens in light of economic opportunities and national security interests. This paper explores the relationship between homework and academic achievement in the areas of homework time, parental involvement and home support, and teacher ideation and student conceptualization. The findings of 30 academic articles were analyzed and compiled into literature reviews. All relevant findings were categorized based upon their association to three areas. One, time spent on homework was positively correlated with student academic achievement. Two, parental involvement in a supportive home environment had significant impacts on achievement and homework completion. The purpose of this literature review was to investigate the effectiveness of common curriculum initiatives in mathematics in the United States. First, the study examined the effects of these initiatives on the rates of students’ math anxiety. Second, the study evaluated policies related to curriculum requirements for their effectiveness in improving test scores, closing racial and socioeconomic gaps, and course failure rates. Specific policies were the effectiveness of mandating Algebra 2 and the implementation of Algebra 1 for all eighth-grade students. Certifying teachers is a very important element within the educational process. Teacher certification is usually accomplished through undergraduate colleges of education. However, because many professionals change careers and want to become teachers, alternative certification programs were created. This qualitative case study was conducted to explore the School District of Palm Beach County’s primary alternative certification program from 2018-2020, also known as the Professional Development Certification Program (PDCP). Data collection involved semi-structured interviews. Ten teachers who completed the PDCP from 2018–2020 participated in focus groups and individual interviews.
