The purpose of this research study was to report the effect social scripts have on the ability to increase communication and understanding during partner work in math for students with autism. The study was made up of 9 participants, all of whom were enrolled in the same special education pull out math class. Data was collected through observations to identify the frequency of scripted and unscripted communicative questions and responses, along with understanding of the math activity.
