The purpose of this study was to determine the behavioral effects of conferencing with high school teachers following observations of their behavior in the classroom. The basis of observation, feedback, and conferencing was Flanders' System of Interaction Analysis. All observations were recorded, but feedback was given only to the experimental group.

As in any other part of the curriculum, physical education requires equipment, facilities, and personnel in order to help assure a successful program. The degree of attainment of this success will be shown by the opinions of those whose judgments are considered valid. In contrast with this will be the performance capabilities of the students who take part in the program in terms of physical fitness performance, physical fitness knowledge, and neuromuscular skills. Finally, attitudes about physical education are also held to be important and should also be judged.

This study investigated the effects of group counseling on the self-concept of 40 junior high school students representative of a ninth grade class in one school district. A comparable control group was used. Self-concept was measured by the Tennessee Self Concept Scale. The scale was administered to all subjects before and after 16 hours of group counseling had been experienced by the experimental group. Congruence of real and ideal self-ratings after counseling, was tested on an Adapted California Q-set.

It was the purpose of this study to survey previous education and experience of industrial arts teachers of the junior and senior high schools in the state of Washington for the 1968-69 school year. This was accomplished utilizing the survey method. This study was undertaken in order to gain knowledge as to the qualifications of present industrial arts teachers. On the basis of results obtained, conclusions were reached which may assist educators in evaluating teacher qualifications as well as their own industrial arts program.
