While there is unanimity on the importance of effective feedback to promote student learning and success in both online and face-to-face environment, debate continues on how best to provide this feedback, especially in online settings where personal cues are scarce. Dr. Lewis Chongwony's paper posits that effective feedback does not happen by chance or in a vacuum. Deliberate creative effort must be employed in any learning environment to provide and continuously sustain effective feedback.
