Teaching has never been easy. There is no formula for instant teaching success. It takes time, energy, patience, work and prayer. But, teaching can be a exciting and satisfying experience, if the teacher knows what to teach and how to do it effectively.
There are many specific steps and techniques which teachers can employ that will lead to more effective teaching. This project is a attempt to identify and systematize some of the basic elements of teaching and learning in the church. We can not cover everything, but we can uncover some of the essential inqurdients to effective teaching.

A History Of Governance At Lee College : A Study In Pentecostal Higher Education, Raphael Weller Stephens Iii

The purpose of this study was to trace the history of governance of Lee College, Cleveland, Tennessee, considering the influence of pentecostalism, particularly as stressed by its sponsoring denomination, the Church of God. Consideration was given to possible accommodations and complex influences which impacted on the pentecostal position of the College, differentiating secular/academic standards from clearly pentecostal standards.;It was hypothesized that Lee College would be highly influenced by the conservative pentecostalism of the Church of God that the decision-making process would reflect this influence. Two questions were asked: (1) to what extent has pentecostalism influenced the governance structure of Lee …

Lds Church Educational Objectives And Motivational Influences For Seminary Attendance: A Comparative Analysis, Linda Brockbank

This study addressed itself to identifying dominant motivational influences prompting seminary attendance of ninth and eleventh grade students living along the Wasatch Front in the state of Utah and to determine if these motivational influences were related to stated objectives of the LDS seminary program. The sample consisted of twelve randomly selected cluster groups of seminary classes from the Ogden, Salt Lake City, and Provo-Orem areas. Factors relative to stated objectives and to entertainment were incorporated in the survey questionnaire, Survey of Attendance Rationale, used for data collection. Data were collected in February 1981 and submitted to factor analysis, …
