Research and supporting evidence represent a gap identified in didactic learning between students and faculty. This gap shows emotional factors of the nursing curriculum that may suggest negative impacts on nursing students, but also improvements that can be made to increase students’ clinical competency levels. By adhering to strict definitions of student-led learning theory and clinical competency, we were able to create concrete evidence with measurable data that can contribute to the elimination of this gap in learning. Background: With over six million Americans currently living with dementia, it is crucial for prelicensure nursing programs to prepare registered nurses to provide quality care to individuals with dementia and their caregivers. Due to the challenges associated with providing face-to-face clinical experiential learning, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, virtual simulation approaches are now being used as alternative or complementary clinical experiential teaching/learning methods.
Design: Quantitative Research
Purpose: To evaluate the effectiveness of the Virtual Dementia Tour on prelicensure student nurses' attitudes towards dementia care.

Hypothesis/Purpose: In this report we present a case of a 20-year-old female with congenital intellectual disability, stunted growth, and hypothyroidism. Competitive genetic hybridization (CHG) revealed a loss of 17p13.3, and the deletion was not present in either parent. This deletion has not previously been characterized, but mutations on the p-arm of chromosome 17 are responsible for Miller-Dieker Syndrome and Isolated Lissencephaly Sequence, both of which share symptoms in common with the patient.
Methods: Peripheral mononuclear cells (PBMCs) were used for karyotyping and competitive genetic hybridization (CHG). Bioinformatic analysis was carried out using the Genome Data Viewer (ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/genome/gdv).

ABSTRACT
Introduction
Many studies have investigated the association between vitamin D and cardiovascular disease (CVD), but literature has shown various results. The aim of this study was to investigate the role of vitamin D in CVD.
Methods
Data source
The data were obtained from the 2015-2018 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey database and included adults aged 20 years and older with a history of CVD. Descriptive statistics for participants’ demographics, vitamin D levels, CVD status, and risk factors were reported. Chi-square tests and t-tests were performed to examine differences in participant characteristics among those who had CVD and did …
