Having helped develop one type of Embedded Librarian Program at a Technical College, and then transitioning to a four-year college with an already established program, it has become more apparent that there is not one universal definition of an Embedded Librarian. The reason for these differences can be seen in the number of students and programs at an institution, the number of staff available, and other responsibilities that librarians have within their library organizations.
