การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) พัฒนาชุดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้การอ่านเพื่อความเข้าใจตามแนวสมดุลภาษาสำหรับนักเรียนประถมศึกษา และ 2) ศึกษาความสามารถในการอ่านเพื่อความเข้าใจก่อนและหลังใช้ชุดกิจกรรมฯ ตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ นักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 4 จำนวน 28 คน เครื่องมือวิจัย ได้แก่ 1) ชุดกิจกรรมการอ่านเพื่อความเข้าใจตามแนวสมดุลภาษาสำหรับนักเรียนประถมศึกษา 2) แบบทดสอบความสามารถในการอ่านเพื่อความเข้าใจ และ 3) แบบสังเกตพฤติกรรมการอ่านของนักเรียน วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยการหาค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และการทดสอบค่าที (t-test dependent) ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1) ชุดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้การอ่านเพื่อความเข้าใจตามแนวสมดุลภาษาสำหรับนักเรียนประถมศึกษา มีองค์ประกอบสำคัญ ได้แก่ (1) คู่มือการใช้ชุดกิจกรรม (2) แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ ประกอบด้วย (2.1) จุดประสงค์การเรียนรู้ (2.2) ขั้นตอนการจัดกิจกรรม (2.3) บทอ่าน (2.4) แบบประเมินผล 2) ความสามารถในการอ่านเพื่อความเข้าใจของนักเรียนหลังเรียนสูงกว่าก่อนเรียนด้วยชุดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้การอ่านเพื่อความเข้าใจตามแนวสมดุลภาษาอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05

Learner autonomy is widely accepted as one of the educational goals in the 21st century. Additionally, learner autonomy has been found to affect success in language learning. This study aimed to investigate the effects of project-based English instruction on learner autonomy of lower secondary school students. This study employed a one-group pretest-posttest design to collect both quantitative and qualitative data from 39 lower secondary school students attending 14-week project-based English instruction. The current study aimed to investigate the different effects of indirect corrective feedback and metalinguistic corrective feedback on Chinese lower-secondary students’ English writing ability and explored students’ opinions towards the two types of feedback in two aspects: students’ preference and students’ understanding. The participants were thirty grade 8 students who studied at a public school in Rizhao City, Shandong Province, China. The instruments for collecting data were pretest, posttests, and interview questions. English language teaching in rural Chinese high schools has not only been methodologically backward, but also impractical in content and approach, it led to distract student motivation, decrease language abilities, and even diminish reading improvement. This study investigated Grade 10 students’ English reading ability and perception after the implementation of learning-oriented reading assessment (LORA). The participants were 67 students studying in Grade 10. 32 Students were in an experimental group and 35 students were assigned as the control group. The study was in a period of 11 weeks which the experimental group received LORA intervention. Whereas the controlled group participated in general reading lessons. Reciprocal Teaching has become an instructional strategy to enhance English reading comprehension for Thai secondary school students. Forty students participated in this mixed-methods study for ten weeks. The study compared students’ English reading comprehension in Reciprocal Teaching with those in Reading Instruction. It also explored students’ perceptions on Reciprocal Teaching strategies. The research instruments included (1) an English reading comprehension test; (2) a Reciprocal Teaching questionnaire, and (3) a Semi-structured interview. This study implemented the Close Reading instruction for Thai EFL secondary school students and explored their use of close reading strategies. Eighteen secondary school students participated in eleventh weeks to examine the effects of Close Reading instruction on their English reading comprehension. This study explored the effects of extensive reading on reading comprehension and reading fluency of Bhutanese primary grade students. The participants were 16 fourth grade students in one of the primary schools in Bhutan. The study involved 12 weeks of extensive reading instruction. Participants were introduced to extensive reading, acquainted to selecting appropriate books, and a large number of graded readers with enjoyable content were supplied, and participants read as many books as they could. การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) เปรียบเทียบความสามารถในการอ่านเพื่อความเข้าใจของนักเรียนมัธยมศึกษาก่อนและหลังได้รับการจัดการเรียนรู้วรรณกรรมไทยด้วยกลวิธีรีดเดอร์ส เธียเตอร์ ทั้งในภาพรวมและจำแนกตามองค์ประกอบ 2) ศึกษาการเปลี่ยนแปลงความสามารถในการอ่านเพื่อความเข้าใจของนักเรียนมัธยมศึกษาระหว่างได้รับการจัดการเรียนรู้วรรณกรรมไทยด้วยกลวิธีรีดเดอร์ส เธียเตอร์ กลุ่มตัวอย่าง ได้แก่ นักเรียนมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 1 โรงเรียนขนาดใหญ่พิเศษ สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษามัธยมศึกษาเขต 2 จำนวน 43 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ประกอบด้วย แบบวัดความสามารถในการอ่านเพื่อความเข้าใจ แบบสะท้อนผลการอ่าน และแผนการจัดการเรียนรู้วรรณกรรมไทยด้วยกลวิธีรีดเดอร์ส เธียเตอร์ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้ค่าเฉลี่ยเลขคณิต ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และการทดสอบค่าที ผลการวิจัย พบว่า 1) นักเรียนมีคะแนนเฉลี่ยความสามารถในการอ่านเพื่อความเข้าใจโดยภาพรวมหลังจัดการเรียนรู้สูงกว่าก่อนจัดการเรียนรู้อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .01 เมื่อพิจารณาจำแนกตามองค์ประกอบ พบว่า ทั้ง 7 องค์ประกอบ ได้แก่ การแปลความ การจับใจความ การวิเคราะห์ การตีความ การประเมินค่า การเชื่อมโยง และการถ่ายทอด มีคะแนนเฉลี่ยหลังจัดการเรียนรู้สูงกว่าก่อนจัดการเรียนรู้อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .01 2) ผลการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงคุณภาพเพื่อศึกษาการเปลี่ยนแปลงความสามารถของนักเรียนที่ได้รับการจัดการเรียนรู้วรรณกรรมไทยด้วยกลวิธีรีดเดอร์ส เธียเตอร์ จำแนกตามองค์ประกอบ พบว่า ความสามารถในการอ่านเพื่อความเข้าใจระยะหลังดีขึ้นกว่าระยะแรกทุกองค์ประกอบ

This study examined the effects of differentiated reading instruction (DRI) on the reading comprehension and self-efficacy of undergraduate students. The study indicated their improvement in both areas after the intervention. Thirty-three students attending the course of English for Scientists were chosen for the study. The pre-test in reading comprehension and the self-efficacy questionnaire were administered before the intervention. The present study aimed to investigate the relationships between WTC in English in classroom context and four trait-like variables: L2 confidence, L2 motivation, L2 anxiety and grit, to propose a WTC model in EFL classroom setting in Iran, and to identify the best predicting variable of WTC in English. The objectives of this study were 1) to examine EFL senior high school teachers' beliefs towards teaching English pronunciation in Yunnan province and 2) to investigate the English pronunciation practices used by Yunnan EFL teachers. This study investigated the effects of interleaved form-focused instruction (FFI) on Thai lower secondary students' grammatical knowledge, long-term retention, and their perception towards the instruction. Students took a pre-test, an immediate post-test, and a one-week delayed post-test, and were also interviewed at the end of the implementation. The test scores were to investigate the improvement of grammatical knowledge as well as the long-term retention, and the data from the semi-structured interview were analyzed to figure out the perceptions towards the overall instruction.
