Highlights: Dr. William H. Conley, founding president and first chancellor of Sacred Heart University, has died --Several new programs and courses help account for a new record enrollment of full and part-time students --New promotions and appointments noted --Dr. John Mahar, chairman and professor of history and political science at SHU, will head the Convocation Committee and will work closely with the Rev. William J. Fletcher, director of cultural affairs, on various programs, exhibits, and other activities designed to promote the institution’s celebration of the state Bicentennial initiated last May by the musical production “1776" --Basketball schedule.
