Dr. Gawande, who practices general and endocrine surgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, is professor in both the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Harvard School of Public Health and the Department of Surgery at Harvard Medical School. In his new book Being Mortal: Medicine and What Matters in the End, Dr. Gawande examines the realities of aging and calls for the medical system to better serve a rapidly growing segment of the population.

On April 4, Dr. Goodall, noted British primatogist, ethologist and anthropologist, discusses her new book Seeds of Hope: Wisdom and Wonder from the World of Plants in conversation with coauthor Gail Hudson.
