Digital literacy, under a wide variety of names, is routinely classified as a 21st-century skill and is frequently reported as an area of high priority in school education systems internationally. In comparison with students in other countries, Australian students have high levels of access to digital technologies both at and outside of school. With this access comes the expectations that students will be highly-proficient users of digital technologies and that schools will use digital technologies in transformative ways to support student learning. A Construct Map For Tpack: Developing An Empirically Derived Description Of Increasing Tpack Proficiency, Ralph Saubern, Daniel Urbach, Matthew Koehler, Michael Phillips

Over the last ten years, the Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) model has had a major influence on research into technology integration in education and been adopted for research across a wide variety of contexts. While this research has provided a valuable contribution to our understanding of professional knowledge of teachers, the TPACK construct, like the PCK construct on which it is based, remains in flux. Researchers continue to explore key questions about the definition of TPACK and its components, boundaries between the TPACK components, the transformative or integrative nature of TPACK components, and the validity of TPACK measurement. …
