Public education has always been thought of as being completed in a brick and mortar setting with students in desks and teachers at the front of the classroom. Students interact with their peers and learn through lecture and hands-on activities. This general understanding was quickly changed in the spring of 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Schools had to shift from in person learning to online learning with little to no planning time.
