The Factorial Structure Of The Self-Control And Self-Management (Smcs) Scale Using Exploratory And Confirmatory Factor Analysis Among Jordanian University Students, Mo’En S. Alnasraween, Marwan S.A. Al-Samadi Aug 2024

The Factorial Structure Of The Self-Control And Self-Management (Smcs) Scale Using Exploratory And Confirmatory Factor Analysis Among Jordanian University Students, Mo’En S. Alnasraween, Marwan S.A. Al-Samadi

An-Najah University Journal for Research - B (Humanities)

This study used both exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis to examine the factorial structure of the self-control and self-management scale (SCMS). The study sample was made up of 1159 students from public and private universities; they were chosen using a convenient sampling technique. The Mezo (2009) scale consisted of 17 items after it was translated into Arabic. A descriptive analytical methodology was adopted for this study. The study's findings revealed that the (SCMS) scale had acceptable psychometric qualities. Moreover, the factorial structure was validated using exploratory factor analysis, which revealed the presence of three principal factors: self-monitoring, self-evaluating, and self-reinforcing, …

The Meta-Analysis Of Wisconsin Card Sorting Test Reliability, Naila N. Al Kharusi, Hussain Al Kharousi, Mai Helmy May 2024

The Meta-Analysis Of Wisconsin Card Sorting Test Reliability, Naila N. Al Kharusi, Hussain Al Kharousi, Mai Helmy

An-Najah University Journal for Research - B (Humanities)

The study aimed at meta-analysis of the reliability coefficients of Wisconsin Card Sorting Test scores to find out the typical estimate value of the reliability coefficient of test scores, and to reveal the various factors that may contribute to the high or low value of the reliability coefficient. A total of (36) studies were subjected to meta-analysis of reliability, where the number of reliability coefficients calculated were (206) reliability coefficients out of (16) indicators of the Wisconsin Card Sorting Test. The current study focused on (98) reliability coefficients calculated by the method of test-retest reliability for six indicators. The results …

Modeling The Relationships Between Social Intelligence, School Bullying And Psychological Adjustment, Amal Al-Battashi, Fahima Alsaidi, Said Aldhafri Jan 2024

Modeling The Relationships Between Social Intelligence, School Bullying And Psychological Adjustment, Amal Al-Battashi, Fahima Alsaidi, Said Aldhafri

An-Najah University Journal for Research - B (Humanities)

The descriptive study aimed to identify the levels of social intelligence, school bullying and psychological adjustment among students of seventh, eighth, and ninth grades studying in public schools in the Sultanate of Oman. The study also examined possible differences in the study variables according to gender, grade and birth order. In addition, the researchers proposed a mediating model that explains the causal relationships among the study variables. The study sample consisted of 403 students, including 165 male and 238 female students, who were selected by the random cluster method from three governorates in the Sultanate and the quantitative approach was …

Factorial Structure Of A Math Anxiety Scale Using Exploratory And Confirmatory Factor Analysis, Mahdi Olimat Oct 2023

Factorial Structure Of A Math Anxiety Scale Using Exploratory And Confirmatory Factor Analysis, Mahdi Olimat

An-Najah University Journal for Research - B (Humanities)

This study aimed to reveal the factorial structure of the mathematics anxiety scale using both exploratory and confirmation factorial analysis and integration between them, where the researcher developed the study tool represented by a measure of mathematics anxiety, by reviewing the theoretical literature and measurements built in previous studies, and consisting of (15) paragraphs all formulated positively. The validity of the tool was verified using three ways: concept validity which verified through the provisions of the specialists to whom the scale was presented, and the construction validity which was statistically verified by examining the association of each paragraphs in the …
