The purpose of this study was to attempt to find how effective ability grouping is in other educational systems, also, to find fundamental criteria and classification variables to aid as a basis for grouping by ability. Often schools are not adequately prepared to make the best use of these new methods. Very often the teachers do not understand some of the philosophies of these new movements.
