Inclusive learning compels all public schools to accommodate all learners and implement curricula that meet their needs. This study explored strategies for creating inclusive learning for learners who experience barriers to learning. Most of the literature on inclusive learning in schools has discussed the tension between theoretical approaches and the practical achievements of inclusive learning during teaching and learning. EDUCATION CHANGE is presented in cooperation with Project 100% Graduation, directed by Dr. John R. Eggers of Minnesota. The goal of this project is to have more students graduate, as graduation rates are low to extremely low in a variety of communities.

The teacher evaluation process seeks to help teachers grow and thrive, and as a result, affect student achievement. Administrators evaluate teachers from different subjects, grade levels, and experience levels. This qualitative study examined the perception of feedback given through the cooperating school district’s evaluation system from both the teacher and the principal viewpoint in order to explore their perceptions of the quality and quantity of feedback given during the evaluation process. Participants were arts teachers, tested subject teachers, and their evaluating administrators from a suburban school district in Kentucky. Anti-racist content has been lacking in the education system in the past. When it comes to addressing issues of race and racism candidly in schools and classrooms, most teachers and administrators tend to ignore race and racism questions. Based on a survey that evaluated anti-racist education and training at their school, the questionnaire measured participants' perceptions of anti-racist education and their satisfaction with the training. 44 participants completed all of the survey questions. Institutional assessments of quantitative literacy/reasoning (QL/QR) have been extensively tested and reported in the literature. While appropriate for measuring student learning at the programmatic or institutional level, such instruments were not designed for classroom grading. After modifying a widely accepted institutional rubric designed to assess QR in written arguments, the current mixed method study tested the reliability of two QR analytic grading rubrics for written arguments and explored students’ reactions to the grading tools.
