In an effort to offer an effective preparation program for prospective teachers, the institution rrrust first analyze its present status--"What are we now doing?" Such an assessment, a point of reference, is necessary before speculations about modifications can be put into action. The problem undertaken in this study was to ascertain the status of the 1969 teacher education graduates from Central Washington State College in regard to their major field of preparation and subsequent placerrent within, or outside that field of preparation.

The purpose of this study was to determine the behavioral effects of conferencing with high school teachers following observations of their behavior in the classroom. The basis of observation, feedback, and conferencing was Flanders' System of Interaction Analysis. All observations were recorded, but feedback was given only to the experimental group.

Information regarding staff, budget, facilities, equipment, materials and services provided by the media programs of the public schools within the Estacada Union High School District was not available. The problem was to gather data on each specific item and present it in a usable manner. The purpose of this study was to determine the weaknesses that could be identified by comparing the quantitative elements of the media programs available in the individual school with evaluative criteria provided by the requirements and recommendations of state and national media standards.

The purpose of this study was to determine if a group of kindergarten children, after receiving instructional activities designed to develop automatic-sequential language skills, would differ from a matched control group not receiving such instruction. The design of the study called for the administration of the three ITPA subtests, Visual-Motor Sequencing, Auditory-Vocal Sequencing, and Auditory-Vocal Automatic, to both groups prior to and following the program of instructional activities.

The hypothesis of this study was that boys between the ages of seven to nine playing Tee-ball would receive a significantly higher number of opportunities to learn baseball skills than boys playing in the Atom Leagues; and as a result of the greater number of opportunities to learn, Tee-ball would result in greater improvement than would Atom ball over one season.

Many variables contribute to the effectiveness of social reinforcement in eliciting changes in children's behavior. To date, little work has been done on subject variables such as cognizance of reinforcement contingencies and preference for one type of reinforcement as opposed to another. This study attempts to find a relationship between speech problems and reading difficulties. This was accomplished by giving reading achievement and reading diagnostic tests to the children at the C.W.S.C. speech and hearing clinic. The results of the reading tests were analyzed and, by the use of the speech records, related to their speech problems. This study attempted to find the relationship between speech problems and reading difficulties using four children, their speech records and their reading tests.
