The article discusses the theoretical aspects of the study of reproductive health: the essence of the concept, factors affecting reproductive health, the current state and social consequences of changes in the reproductive health of young people. This topic is widely studied in Russian literature. The article presents an analysis of the works of M. S. Bedny, R. K. Ignatieva, dealing with the protection of motherhood.
