The major goal of this course is to familiarize students with current video production techniques and equipment. By using a hands-on and laboratory/ lecture approach, we will be able to produce a wide variety of projects using both studio and field procedures. Some of the areas we will cover include: treatment/scripting, pre-production, directing, lighting, audio, continuity, camera operations and post production.
Students will also apply current media streaming techniques to video and upload final projects to YouTube and Google Video.

This is a mid-project report on the "The development of both the social networking environment “Spanish Lounge at Pace University” (http://spanishlounge.wetpaint.com); and the student piloting community project called: “Spanish Success Story”. Both pilot projects have already started this Fall 2008 and are under way at this point. The funds requested will help with additional design work and maintenance of these projects."

This project aims to explore effective ways in which instructors in psychology through the use of Web 2.0 technologies in teaching help with this “internationalization” initiative. Though the focus of this pilot project is the psychology curriculum, an investigation of the ways in which Internet-based technologies are used to internationalize curriculum in other disciplines will also be explored.

The Assistive Technology Lab continues to be an extremely significant piece of the Thinkfinity grant...The focus of the AT Lab at 163 Williams Street at Pace University is to help students, teacher-candidates, professors and the community with researching, studying and addressing the needs of the community within the area of assistive technology for the user. Various levels of progress have been made this semester regarding the types of equipment the lab needs to function, as well as amassing information for the AT Lab Committee and fulfilling the realization of a working lab.

Original Goals: • To establish a rapport with a school in which Thinkfinity.org videos could be produced. • To create a reproducible format that could be used to create future Thinkfinity.org videos. • To create a video series (no less than 5 videos) of interactive whiteboard enhanced lessons based on Thinkfinity.org lesson plans that demonstrate how teachers can utilize both resources.
