The purpose of this study is to examine mental health stigma within the sociocultural context shared by members of the Panamanian population. Mental health stigma is complex because it manifests itself differently according to the cultural context in which it is experienced. Culture informs individual beliefs, behaviors, and attitudes regarding how a person should live within their immediate household and within society. This social conditioning is accomplished through a variety of means, including the passing down of social norms, traditions, and customs. Music is an art that permeates every human society. It is used for such diverse social purposes as ritual, worship, coordination of movement, communication, or entertainment. There are no limits to music as it can move freely in space through sound waves, radio, cinema, television, and the new digital technologies. How does the cultural context influence the pursuit of vocation? How does culture influence the decisions that young people make about the life direction they pursue? This qualitative, ethnographic study was conducted to discover and describe the motivational influences in the lives of students and graduates of The Leadership Center, located in rural Honduras, as they traveled a journey through high school and on to The Leadership Center in pursuit of a vocation. Fine-Tuning Brand Endorsements: Exploring Race-Sport Fit With Athlete Endorsers, Youngmin Yoon, Jun Woo Kim, Mar Magnusen, Michael Sagas

The present study examines the effect of an athlete endorser’s race-sport fit in the decision-making process of athlete endorsed product selection. The results of this study reveal that the race of athlete endorsers can influence endorsement strategies depending on the sport associated with the athlete endorser. Perceived race-sport fit was also a key factor in creating both positive sport consumer attitudes and increased purchase intentions toward an athlete endorsed product. Authentic Experiences Assessment Instrument: The Case Of Millennial Students And Cultural Attractions In Central Florida, Earney Francis Lasten, Randall S. Upchurch

Three types of authenticity were chosen to analyze cultural attractions—they were: staged or real authenticity, sensory authenticity, and existential authenticity. A group of millennium students that visited Orlando’s cultural attractions from the University of Central Florida were part of this study. Results show that the term “culture” is unclear among students. Also gender might play a role in determining what is perceived as “authenticity.” In general the focus group discussion had a consensus that these three types of authenticity were the right ones to measured cultural attractions, people, and behaviors.
