The quantity and quality of training data are critical to the performance of artificial intelligence (AI) models. However, in China, the production of training data is hindered by issues such as insufficient quantity, low quality, and fragmented distribution, compounded by limitations stemming from commercial ecosystems, regulatory frameworks, and restricted development and utilization of public data. DeepSeek has rapidly expanded globally on a large scale through the open-source model, prompting various sectors to reflect on the value and significance of open-source. This study argues that open-source is an effective way to build consensus and organize high-density talent, as it is supported by objective laws. These include sociological principles such as breaking knowledge monopolies and promoting knowledge dissemination, as well as economic principles like “transaction cost” and the “Jevons effect”. This capstone project assesses the state of EV charging infrastructure in NYC and its readiness for EV growth. This dissertation discusses the mobility politics of container shipping and argues that technological development, political-economic order, and social infrastructure co-produce one another. Containerization, the use of standardized containers to carry cargo across modes of transportation that is said to have revolutionized and globalized international trade since the late 1950s, has served to expand and extend the power of international coalitions of states and corporations to control the movements of commodities (shipments) and labor (seafarers). This paper presents a conceptual prototype of an efficient urban farming community that can be scaled for a single apartment building or an entire community across all global geoeconomics regions, including densely populated cities and rural, developing towns and communities. When deployed in coordination with smart crop choices, local farm support, and efficient transportation then the result isn’t just sustainability, but also increasing fresh produce accessibility, optimizing nutritional value, eliminating the use of ‘forever chemicals’, reducing transportation costs, and fostering global environmental benefits.

This article explores the role of the state in driving the platformisation of industry, and in doing so offers a counterpoint to scholarship that focusses on the exploitative effects of private sector-led platformisation. That scholarship views platformisation as the latest incarnation of neoliberal urbanism, with the profit-maximising tendencies of the private sector driving the proliferation of platforms throughout everyday life. Notwith- standing, there remains a need to consider alternative models of platformisation. The purpose of this paper is to propose a Lean Six Sigma (LSS) course curriculum for healthcare administration and management majors. It identifies the relevant opportunities and challenges for the application of LSS within the healthcare industry. The paper also discusses the cultural changes necessary to provide an appropriate climate for its long-term success. This work contains a comprehensive description of the body of knowledge in LSS, which were successful in applied engineering.
