Big Data Analytics-Artificial Intelligence And Sustainable Performance Through Green Supply Chain Practices In Manufacturing Firms Of A Developing Country, Aamir Rashid, Neelam Baloch, Rizwana Rasheed, Abdul Hafaz Ngah

Publications and Research

Purpose – This study aims to examine the role of big data analytics (BDA) powered by artificial intelligence (AI) in improving sustainable performance (SP) through green supply chain collaboration (GSCC), sustainable manufacturing (SM) and environmental process integration (EPI). Design/methodology/approach – Data was collected from 249 supply chain professionals working at various manufacturing firms, and hypotheses were tested through a quantitative method using PLS-SEM with the help of SmartPLS version 4 to validate the measurement model. Findings – This study identified that BDA-AI significantly and positively affects GSCC, SM and EPI. Similarly, the results showed that GSCC significantly and positively affects …

As environmental awareness takes centre stage in business, entrepreneurship research has established a dedicated subfield for sustainability-driven ventures. The growing emphasis on sustainable business practices has led entrepreneurship research to identify entrepreneurship-related sustainability as a critical subfield. However, the inconsistent terminology used, such as “green entrepreneurship,” “ecopreneurship”, and “entrepreneurship” (ENP), reflects the fragmented nature of research in this area. A Systematic Literature Review on entrepreneurship-related sustainability was conducted to address this, focusing on the term “enviropreneurship” and applying PRISMA guidelines for transparency and methodological standardization. A total of 67 research articles published between 2013 and 2022 were analyzed to identify …

Achieving Sustainability Through Multifaceted Green Functions In Manufacturing, Aamir Rashid, Rizwana Rasheed, Abdul Hafaz Nagah

Publications and Research

Purpose – Green practices are essential for sustainability. However, it is challenging due to the socioeconomic and environmental concerns. Similarly, after the induced SDG-12 and SDG-13 by United Nations, the pressure groups forced manufacturers to consider sustainability. Therefore, this research aims to examine the sustainability through multifaceted green functions in manufacturing is examined. Design/methodology/approach – Data were collected from 293 supply chain professionals of manufacturers from a developing economy. Hypotheses were tested through a quantitative method using partial least squares-structural equationmodelingwith the help of SmartPLS version 4 to validate themeasurementmodel. Findings – The findings revealed that all six direct hypotheses …

Information Technology And People Involvement In Organizational Performance Through Supply Chain Collaboration, Aamir Rashid, Rizwana Rasheed, Noor Aina Amirah

Publications and Research

Purpose – Supply chain collaboration (SCC) benefits organizational performance (OP). Although it is complex, it is also hard to implement and measure collaborative initiatives in the field of the supply chain. This study aims to examine the role of information technology (IT) and people’s involvement in OP through the mediation of supply chain collaboration. Design/methodology/approach – This study used a deductive and quantitative approach to test the research hypotheses. Data was collected from 249 supply chain professionals working at various manufacturing firms. Findings – This research found a significant effect of IT on supply chain collaboration. Similarly, people involvement (PI) …

Modular Interconnected Processes, Fluid Partnering, And Innovation Speed: A Loosely Coupled Systems Perspective On B2b Service Supply Chain Management, Chandan Acharya, Divesh Ojha, Pankaj C. Patel, Rahul Gokhale

Publications and Research

In this paper, we examine whether and how loosely coupled systems in service supply chains influence the speed of innovation in service organizations. Drawing upon the nomological network of loosely coupled systems, we propose a way for supply chains in the business to business (B2B) market context to be conceptualized as loosely coupled systems and explain how the dialectical elements of modularity at the interface of standard process and content interfaces (SPCI) and structured data connectivity (SDC) enable the sharing of high-quality information through fluid partnership in service supply chains to improve innovation speed. Results that are based on a …
