Exploring Masstige Brands’ Antecedents And Outcomes, Paula Rodrigues, Ana Sousa, Marc Fetscherin, Ana Pinto Borges

This study focused on developing a new conceptual model of consumers’ perceptions of – and behaviours towards – masstige brands based on consumer-brand relationship and brand equity theory, which was then applied using quantitative data analysis. The research model facilitated an exploration of how important brand love, co-creation and need for uniqueness are as masstige brand antecedents and of whether brand happiness, brand loyalty and electronic word of mouth are outcomes. The proposed model’s generalisability was assessed based on consumer data on a total sample of 1,041 consumers from three countries: the United States, Portugal, and China. The hypotheses were …

JOHNSON CITY (Sept. 13, 2022) – East Tennessee State University is taking the lead in establishing the first recovery community center in the Northeast Tennessee region.
The Johnson City Recovery Center (JCRC) was proposed by Dr. Dorothy “Dottie” Greene, associate professor of social work and graduate coordinator for Addiction Counseling Studies, and will be guided by an advisory board with membership from throughout the region.
The JCRC was recently approved for $1.2 million in funding by the Washington County Commission. It is one of several projects related to addiction recovery the commission is funding through the “Baby Doe” opioid lawsuit …

Store-in-store franchising or corner franchising is the application of a franchise format within another business, such as big box retailers, supermarkets, and gas stations; and pop-up stores are temporary store formats opened in shopping malls or other venues for a short period. Despite the regular application of these strategies by franchisers, the academic literature on store-in-store franchising and pop-up stores is relatively limited. This study aims to examine environmentally responsible behavior through experience quality, perceived value, and tourist satisfaction while explaining responsible behavior of tourists towards the environment in the natural sites of Madhya Pradesh, India. The theoretical framework proposed is based on literature. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was employed using partial least squares (PLS) 3.0 software to test the model fit and hypotheses. The data was collected using random sampling from 131 tourists at these natural sites who participated in the survey through a questionnaire. The start of the fall 2022 semester marks year number three for the school’s Overwatch and League of Legends teams, as well as the second year for Rocket League, which kicked off its inaugural season in fall 2021. Officials at East Tennessee State University received a glowing report card for the university today, with leaders announcing that new student enrollment, graduation rates and employee satisfaction are all at historic highs.
During a quarterly meeting of the university's Board of Trustees, ETSU administrators shared final enrollment numbers for the fall 2022 semester. The university is celebrating its largest incoming class in a decade at 2,056 students — a 25% increase in the past two years. I am looking forward to learning from other teachers at University School and all the unique opportunities/events that come from being on ETSU’s campus. I look forward to forming relationships with my fellow teachers and using their expertise to help me grow as an educator.
