JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – ETSU Health has extended service hours at its COVID-19 testing site in response to limited at-home test supply availability and the anticipated rise in cases due to the Omicron variant.
Hours of operation will now extend from 8:15 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 8:15 a.m.-noon, Friday. Preregistration is required. Schedule an appointment online at ETSUHealth.org.
The convenient drive-thru testing site, located behind ETSU Health’s clinic at 325 North State of Franklin Road, allows patients to receive a reliable molecular PCR test without leaving their vehicle.

JOHNSON CITY – Children in grades K-6 are invited to attend the Renaissance Child Spring Enrichment program at East Tennessee State University from March 14-18.
This five-day experience, hosted by the ETSU Office of Professional Development, includes an exciting field trip, STEM activities and arts and crafts.
Participants may be dropped off on the ETSU campus at Warf-Pickel Hall at 8 a.m. and picked up at 4:45 p.m. each day. They should bring a bag lunch, snack and drink each day, and wear “mess-friendly” clothes.

A constant source of encouragement for Amyre Cain’s college journey is her grandmother, who passed away in 2019 following a stage four breast cancer diagnosis.

(Dec. 9, 2021) – East Tennessee State University has received over $215,000 in grant funding from the U.S. Department of Education Office of Special Education & Rehabilitative Services for an initiative known as “the Republic of the Marshall Islands Teacher Retention Project.” The grant proposal, written in part by Dr. Dawn A. Rowe, associate professor and interim chair to ETSU’s Educational Foundations and Special Education program, received nearly $1.25 million total in funding.
