Festivals are important touristic products that allow individuals to escape from busy and stressful work environments. Visitors could have pleasant experiences with the opportunities such as acculturation, entertainment and tasting at the festivals. Introduction: This paper addresses the TTRA Canada conference sub-theme “Future-Proofing: Learning from Today to Build Back Tomorrow.” The pandemic has accelerated discussion about the socioeconomic and environmental impacts of tourism, social equity, workers’ dignity, as well as the long-term climate crisis.
