This policy paper highlights the critical roles of both public and private organizations in creating an enabling ecosystem for social enterprises to grow while striking a good balance in their social ,economic, and environmental bottom lines. It contains recommendations on the formation aspect of social entrepreneurs and the support mechanisms that need to be established by different stakeholders such as the academe, national government agencies, local government units, private institutions, and communities.

The Arbor Day Foundation (ADF) will partner with online retailers to create a ‘Green-Delivery’ option wherein customers can opt to delay the shipment of their order by a day in exchange for a tree being planted in their name. Each partner would fulfill their donation obligation to the ADF by allocating a portion of the cost savings generated by shipping their orders via a slower service.

Assessing Alignment Of Entrepreneurial Spirit To Job Descriptions Seeking Business Administration Or Management Undergraduates, Molly J. Wickam, Lacey R. Finley, Karla Saeger

This study assessed alignment between concepts included in current definitions of Entrepreneurial Spirit and job descriptions written by employers seeking undergraduate business administration or management degrees. In addition, a research-based definition of the Entrepreneurial Spirit was sought. A literature review generated concepts attributed to the Entrepreneurial Spirit. The quantitative conceptual content analysis examined job descriptions from Indeed. Implementation, creativity, and collaboration were concepts most appearing in job descriptions. The Marketing Manager job title contained the most Entrepreneurial Spirit concepts. Findings identified skills that are explicit in job descriptions which is useful for employers seeking Entrepreneurial Spirit in their hires.
