Entrepreneurship Education In The Lens Of The Senior High School Students, Calvin J. Caliat, Nehmar J. Dalhadi, Kathleen M. Ishmael

This study uncovers the perspective on the entrepreneurship education of senior high school students on the university campus. This paper is employed a descriptive research design using a survey ques-tionnaire for the respondents. The survey found that respondents are willing to engage in business be-tween one to 10 years after college. The willingness is due to the encouragement from their parents, independent decision-making, building self-confidence and knowledge, and chasing their dreams. However, there are two significant factors that hinder this, including a need for more business investment and experience. This thesis explores the relationship between gender and entrepreneurship at the undergraduate level at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. The study aims to identify the impact of gender on entrepreneurial skills and the development of these skills over the course of the semester. The research is quantitative and based on the Entrepreneurial Mindset Profile (EMP) Assessment; undergraduate students in Entrepreneurship 350 took the assessment at the beginning and end of the Fall 2022 semester. The study seeks to uncover gender-based differences in entrepreneurial traits and skills and the effects of entrepreneurship education on these traits and skills. The findings suggest that …

Nigerian policy is inconsistent with regard to the promotion of entrepreneurship among young adults in Anambra State that would serve as a guide to becoming self-employed. Most young adults in Anambra State lack information on entrepreneurial characteristics to become self-employed. The issues confronting Anambra State as a result of youth unemployment include increase in crime rate, drug abuse, kidnapping, and suicide rate. Entrepreneurship education is a key beneficiary of design thinking’s recent momentum. Both designers and entrepreneurs create opportunities for innovation in products, services, processes, and business models. More specifically, both design thinking and entrepreneurship education encourage individuals to look at the world with fresh eyes, create hypotheses to explain their surroundings and desired futures, and adopt cognitive acts to reduce the psychological uncertainty associated with ambiguous situations. In this article, we illustrate how we train students to apply four well-established cognitive acts from the design cognition research paradigm—framing, analogical reasoning, abductive reasoning, and mental simulation—to opportunity creation.
