Two Decades Of Rpl/Apel In Ireland: Practitioner Views, Deirdre Goggin

My initial involvement was as an RPL assessor of an application for a marketing subject I was delivering through the Continuing Education Department. At the time RPL was not as developed as it is now within CIT. I received the required paper work and sat down with Phil O’Leary, CIT’s RPL Officer, who familiarised me with the process. In later years I moved from the private sector into the RPL office of CIT. I assisted staff and students in the RPL process, in preparing and assessing material. In conjunction with Phil O’Leary we developed an updated student handbook for circulation …

Ten years after Beverly Daniel Tatum wrote, Why Are All the Black Kids Sitting Together in the Cafeteria? she again closely examines the world of American education. In her latest work, Dr. Tatum gives the reader a seat in the auditorium at 4 lectures delivered at Simmons College during 2006. These lectures, the first of the Race, Education, and Democracy series, challenge educational leaders to look for better ways to serve our student populations. Coupling the texts’ historical underpinnings and practical advice, Dr. Tatum has written a book that should be required for those who work closely with college students.

Blended learning advances course enhancements to include integrated solutions such as links to electronic textbooks and assignments. The most advanced use of technology for educational purposes is found in the distance learning format. This paper describes various uses of technology to support classroom instruction. Examples are provided.

A Pilot Study To Determine The Characteristics And Acceptance Of A Mobile Office Education Classroom To Serve Small High Schools In Utah, Arlyn N. Anderson
All Graduate Plan B and other Reports, Spring 1920 to Spring 2023
For many years the office practice curriculums in the small high schools in Utah have been incomplete. Small high schools generally do not offer the same opportunities for learning as larger high schools due to the lack of funds, a smaller student body, and a shortage of trained personnel. Their distance from larger metropolitan areas where office opportunities are more readily available has made it economically unsound to offer such training programs and facilities. Often, students do not receive adequate training to prepare them for entry level jobs upon graduation from high school.
Students graduating from small high schools must …
