James Alm noted in 1988 that tax uncertainty is particularly problematic for taxpayers, and he identified two risk areas that can cause changes in taxpayer behavior: variations to the tax base (tax base risk) and modifications to the tax rates (tax rate risk).1 This report studies how estate and gift tax laws passed with sunset provisions created taxpayer uncertainty in 2010 and 2012, and how that uncertainty led to increased gifting activity by wealthy taxpayers, which in turn increased the amount of gift tax revenue collected by the federal government in 2011 and 2013. This study aims to examine the effect of taxpayer awareness, tax service quality, taxpayer counseling, and tax sanctions on individual taxpayer compliance at the Pulo Gadung Pratama Tax Service Office. The independent variables in this study are taxpayer awareness, tax service quality, taxpayer counseling, and tax sanctions, while the dependent variable is individual taxpayer compliance. The research population is in Pulogadung with a total sample of 100 individual taxpayers. This study uses primary data and simple random sampling method. The exponential growth of the tourism industry in India significantly impacts the nation’s economic landscape. This study presents an analysis of tourism arrival trends from 2000 to 2019 to forecast foreign tourist arrivals, aligning with the broader scope of religious tourism and pilgrimage. Employing the Box-Jenkins methodology, the research aims to project short-term forecasts for inbound tourism. Diverse modelling techniques are explored to capture the nuances of the time series data, including the assessment of stationarity using the Dickey-Fuller Test to discern underlying trends. This study aims to determine the effect of gender diversity, experience diversity, and busyness diversity on integrated reporting disclosure. This study uses data on directors and integrated reporting of top 30 companies from Asian countries, namely India, Japan, and Malaysia, resulting in 101 samples during the observation time of 2020-2022. The sample determination used a purposive sample method. The independent variable is measured using the Blau Index while the dependent variable is measured using the Integrated Reporting Checklist. The adoption of fintech and digital payments by religious tourism entrepreneurs in India offers various benefits, including improved customer experience, convenience, and increased financial inclusion. By offering digital payment options, entrepreneurs can streamline the payment process, automate tasks, and focus on other aspects of their business. To gather data, a survey was conducted with a sample size of 129 entrepreneurs over a 4-month period. Results showed awareness, attitudes, and usage of fintech solutions. To address challenges, education, training, government regulations, and industry partnerships are recommended. This study examined the impact of corporate governance on sustainability reporting of deposit money banks in Nigeria. Trust, Socioeconomic Factors, And Institutional Dynamics In Africa's Emerging Insurance Market, Nelson Nwani Nkwor, Nnachi Egwu Onuoha
Journal of Accounting Auditing and Business
The study investigates the causality link between trust and insurance market development and the influence of socioeconomic and institutional factors on trust in insurance in the emerging market context. Relying on dual theories of bounded rationality and opportunism, VAR Granger Causality Test and the Two-Stage Least Squares (2SLS) analytical approaches, and a contextualised understanding of Africa's insurance market, the study finds a unidirectional causal link from trust to insurance market development, which suggests that market activities are driven by trust in insurance. Additionally, results show that trust in insurance is driven by socioeconomic and institutional factors in Africa’s insurance market. …

Literature on mobility justice suggest that socially disadvantaged people experience uneven access to movement. The theme of diversity in terms of gender and its interplay with mobility and leisure have attracted some scholarly attention. However, research into transgender and gender diverse mobilities and its impact to leisure access remains limited, particularly from non-Western perspectives. This paper endeavors to fill this gap by investigating transgender and gender diverse mobilities in Istanbul, Turkey.
