Financial simulators play an important role in enhancing forecasting accuracy, managing risks, and fostering strategic financial decision-making. Despite the development of financial market simulation methodologies, existing frameworks often struggle with adapting to specialized simulation context. We pinpoint the challenges as i) current financial datasets do not contain context labels; ii) current techniques are not designed to generate financial data with context as control, which demands greater precision compared to other modalities; iii) the inherent difficulties in generating context-aligned, high-fidelity data given the non-stationary, noisy nature of financial data. The utilization of blockchain technology as a distributed information sharing system has gained widespread adoption across various domains. However, its application to Flying Ad-Hoc Network (FANET), characterized by severe packet loss, poses significant challenges. The high packet loss rates in FANETs can result in decreased consensus success rates and negatively impact information sharing consistency and efficiency. In this paper, we proposed RoUBC, a novel consensus scheme for Flying Ad-Hoc Networks (FANET), which is based on the Raft protocol and is designed to address the challenges posed by the severe packet loss network in FANET. This study investigates whether the U.S. Federal Reserve’s balance sheet can be used to predict macroeconomic outcomes. The Federal Reserve writes its own accounting standards, and I recast portions of the Federal Reserve’s weekly balance sheet as if it more closely followed Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Specifically, I estimate the fair value of the Federal Reserve’s U.S. Treasury notes and bonds and calculate the associated unrealized gains and losses. I demonstrate that unrealized gains (losses) on the Federal Reserve’s U.S. Treasury notes and bonds are associated with lower (higher) one-quarter ahead inflation and real gross domestic product growth. Based on group relations programs developed by the Tavistock Institute, a pedagogy known as case-in-point has recently been brought to prominence and incorporated into leadership development programs. These methods claim to develop systems thinking and individuals’ leadership capacity with little prior empirical research.

This thesis’ purpose is to explore the correlation between Ease of Doing Business sub-scores and the overall Ease of Doing Business score. The study includes a detailed quantitative study into the previously mentioned relationship. The Ease of Doing Business sub-scores comprise of scores representing starting a business, dealing with construction permits, getting electricity, registering property, getting credit, protecting minority investors, paying taxes, trading across borders, enforcing contracts, and resolving insolvency. Over the years, ESG (environmental, social, and governance) investing has been increasingly adopted by the financial markets. In this paper, we aim to study the effect of ESG on Indices’ and Firms’ performance using Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) Indices as a global reference and Egypt’s indices as a national reference. We also study the effect of ESG scores on the Egyptian Firms’ performance over the past 16 years using econometrical models and Fama- French Five Factors Model. This paper studies the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on financial services firms operating in Middle Eastern and African (“MEA”) countries. The methodology utilized firm-level data from MEA countries, employing the panel regression techniques using fixed and random effects models to control for the potential omitted variable bias. The results of the study underlay that (1) With every 1% increase in new Covid-19 cases market capitalization for firms operating within financial services in MEA countries decreases by 0.11%. (2) Highly indebted financial services firms are more responsive to the Covid-19 pandemic, while low debt firms happen to be more resilient …

The Nebraska crop budgets are available for the 2024 production season. The 84 enterprise budgets prepared in the October 2023 timeframe use input prices collected as of that time. Overall, estimates reflect slight cost of production decreases in the budgets when compared to the 2023 cost estimates. For 2024, the main drivers of cost decreases are due to decreased fuel and fertilizer costs. In some cases, pesticide costs decreased, yet for some of those products, prices increased. Seed and interest costs have increased for 2024 adding to cash expenses, while land opportunity costs and depreciation costs have continued to rise …

Purpose

This study examines how informal business networks achieve marketing goals in socially uncertain contexts. Drawing from multiple historical sources, Shangbangs, a type of business network that thrived in pre-1949 China, are analyzed.

Design/methodology/approach

The Critical Historical Research Method (CHRM) undergirds a study of Shangbangs’ historicity (i.e. their socio-historically embedded multiplicity, including organizational forms, activities and connotations.

Findings

As informal regional, professional, project-based, special-product-based or mixed marketing networks, Shangbangs relied on “flexible specialization” and coupled multiple business needs to market goods and services, business organizations, specific social values and, when necessary, to debrand business rivals.

A pharmacy school graduate must pass the North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination (NAPLEX) exam in order to be awarded a license to practice.

Veterinary staff health and safety are of primary importance to the profession. Although this is inherently understood, oftentimes, staff safety is not given the time and resources needed to promote a safe work environment free from unnecessary risks or exposures. This handbook educates clinic leaders on valuing and creating a safety culture in practice as well as implementing appropriate safety policies and procedures. Veterinary personnel are more likely to experience a work-related injury than policemen, firefighters, and construction workers.
