Community, Fortitude, Satisfaction, And Loyalty: Tests Of Oliver's Proposed Frameworks, J. Martin Fraering

This paper discusses tests of two competing loyalty frameworks proposed by Richard L. Oliver. The cognition to action (CTA) loyalty model specifies four phases: cognitive loyalty, affective loyalty, conative loyalty, and action loyalty, a framework originally discussed by Oliver. The fortitude-community (F-C) loyalty model argues that loyalty is a function of the degree of personal fortitude and the extent to which customers feel that they are members of a community of consumers. In both of these models loyalty is posited to arise from customer satisfaction. Research hypotheses are formulated that assert positive relationships between satisfaction and various loyalty constructs. The …

Accounting and taxation systems are considered as two coexisting institutional practices which claim to be neutral and to function for the benefit of society. These claims are examined with reference to the natural resources industry and the treatment of rehabilitation costs in Australia, as the impact of this industry, both economic and environmental, is significant. By comparing the practice of accounting in financial reporting and in taxation, the use of calculative and representational practices is exposed to identify contradictions, conflicts and disparities.

In 1933, Sharon's Cultural, Educational, Recreational Association (SCERA) was founded by the Sharon Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Orem, Utah. When founded, its purpose was to provide wholesome family-oriented events, theatrical productions, and showcase Community talent. Today, in a world of declining morals, SCERA continues to provide clean entertainment for families. However, the competition in the Orem-Provo area for family entertainment has increased significantly. The purpose of this study was to explore community organization staff perceptions about the importance of selected practices in building effective community-university service and learning partnerships. The target population was community organization staff members who were current or potential partners for community-university service and learning partnerships. The accessible population was community organization staff members listed with a southern metropolitan volunteer placement organization in a an area served by several universities, one large Research I Land-grant university, a historically Black Land-grant university, and at least two other state universities.
