As more and more firms decide to outsource their sales function, the entire topic of partnering with resellers has taken on greater importance. An increasing number of firms have turned to the contract sales force, commonly called manufacturers representatives, to handle the sales function for their products. In an increasingly competitive environment where distributors, original equipment manufacturers, and end users have more choices, building and maintaining solid relationships between manufacturers' representatives (reps) and the companies they represent (principals) has become more critical. Modern Turkey has been founded on internal and international migrations. During the early Republican period (1920s and 1930s), large populations of Turkish nationals and Muslims were living outside the borders of the new country. After the First World War and the War of Independence, they were brought into the country and were involved in the reconstruction process of the new Turkish Republic, marking the beginning of this century’s Turkish Diaspora. The concept of character development in higher education enjoys considerable professional support. Moreover, commercial marketers are aggressively promoting brand image and brand character to differentiate their products and services. However, there is a paucity of research on the marketing of a university's brand character. This exploratory research examines parental assessment of college character , its conceptual components and hierarchical factor structure. A discussion highlights practical implications for the marketing of a college's brand character.
