This project entitled A story, a story: a neighborhood performing arts project, focused on transforming a chosen piece of children's literature into a live performance. It was a process driven project which did not solely focus on the final production. Within this project I decided to use the conceptual framework as a basis for teaching drama and movement instead of the rote method of learning.

Externalities From Roaming Livestock: Explaining The Demise Of The Open Range, Terence J. Centner, Ronald C. Griffin

Fence-in laws in most states require ranchers to pay for fences to keep their livestock from trespassing onto others' property. Some states, or jurisdictions within states, have a fence-out rule that requires ranchers' neighbors to pay for fences to keep livestock out. Both rules are Pareto optimal. Using a potential Pareto criterion, we show that a preference for fence-out in some areas may end as conditions change, such as increased nonranching land uses. Changed conditions may have legal consequences. Specific fence-out and fence cost-sharing provisions may be potentially Pareto inefficient and may be challenged for being unconstitutional under the due …

A growing recognition of the critical differences between industrial and consumer services requires additional research emphasis on marketing of services in business-to-business context. Presents an application of SERVQUAL as a measure of service quality in Ocean Freight Services. Based on a cross-section sample of 114 business organizations in Singapore, which regularly utilize ocean freight services for their export needs, the study asked shipping lines for their heaviest used export routes and provide their overall evaluation of services provided by their preferred suppliers. Respondents also evaluated various interfacing departments in the shipping line and SERVQUAL measures on various service quality dimensions. …

Corporations can initiate an emergent form of leadership that encompasses the importance of values and relationships into the philosophies that articulate the organizational direction. This thesis established the most and least often articulated values from the mission statements of the Fortune 50 corporations. One of the observations noted by this research is that profit is the most frequent and loyalty is the least. The author finds this problematic and states that establishing an emergent form of leadership can be beneficial to organizations by redefining the practice of leadership within the organization, thus redefining the culture. This is a study of the increasing use of temporary workers during the late 1980's and the 1990's. The paper begins with an investigation of current literature in order to define temporary employment and illustrate the size of the temporary workforce and its growth. The use of temporary workers is then analyzed by examining several industries. Following this, the use of temporary workers in organizations is explored in order to determine what perceived benefits organizations receive by using temporary workers and the potential problems they may experience as a result of this usage.
