In 1979, Companias Cuauhtemoc and Sea World, Inc. were considering the development of a major theme park complex or entertainment center in Mexico City. In late 1979, the companies jointly retained the Harrison Price Company (HPC) to evaluate the potential market support for, and to determine the economic feasibility of the project and its major parts, a large sea-life park and a major themed amusement park.
