JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Feb. 14, 2022) – East Tennessee State University’s Bluegrass, Old-Time and Roots Music Studies will present a highly anticipated concert at the ETSU Martin Center for the Arts on March 11 featuring Grand Ole Opry star Rhonda Vincent and The Rage.
This concert will kick off a yearlong commemoration of the program’s 40th anniversary. The ETSU Bluegrass Pride Band will open the concert at 7 p.m. Tickets are available for purchase at the ETSU Martin Center website: etsutickets.com/martincenter/Online/default.asp.

JOHNSON CITY – (Feb. 9, 2022) For ETSU student Ian Shockley, long before the director calls “camera, action,” there’s lights.
A love for theater and, specifically, a deep passion for lighting design brought the Jonesborough resident to East Tennessee State University after graduating with honors from David Crockett High School in 2019.
Now in his junior year, Shockley is about to make his own debut. Next week, when the ETSU Department of Theatre and Dance presents the drama “Straight White Men,” it will mark Shockley’s first mainstage show as a lighting designer.

Magno, who graduated with a bachelor’s degree in geology from East Tennessee State University in 2018, landed her current role at the Charlotte, North Carolina based-firm after working as both a consultant and field technician.

Kearley, of Asheville, North Carolina, is a Master of Public Health candidate with a concentration in epidemiology.

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Feb. 16, 2022) – Ben Arnold, an East Tennessee State University Innovation Lab member, recently finalized the purchase of Cove Ridge Marina and Campground in Butler, Tennessee.
In August of 2021 his group, Cove Ridge Holdings, LLC, finalized the purchase of Cove Ridge Marina and Campground located on Watauga Lake. Arnold said their plans for 2022 include adding pontoon and kayak rentals, adding additional covered slips, hosting a variety of events including live music, food trucks, wine and beer tastings, and much more.

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – Registration for Summer Session classes will soon begin at East Tennessee State University, allowing students to stay on track or complete goals ahead of schedule during their academic journey to graduation.
Current ETSU students can register through Goldlink for the courses they want to take. Registration begins April 4, 2022. Summer Session has six sessions from which to choose from, allowing students to take advantage of convenient options to complete up to 18 credits.
