A mini-charrette was conducted by the Harrison Price Company (HPC) for the Disney Development Company to determine if a performing arts center at Disney World was a sound idea and how best to do it. Performing arts venues in Ashland, Oregon and Chautauqua, New York were selected as frames of reference for a proposed new performing arts facility at Disney World in Florida. HPC drew conclusions from the charrette discussion and the perspectives are expressed in the report.

The National Park Service of the U.S. Department of the Interior requested Walt Disney Productions to submit data on the relative feasibility of two transportation systems to Mineral King, California. The alternatives were a modern all-weather highway, as proposed by the State Division of Highways, or a railroad. The original economic evaluation of Mineral King’s development potentials prepared by Economics Research Associates (ERA) and submitted to the U.S. Forest Service in support of an application for a use permit assumed a new highway.
