Logistics is the movement of raw materials, in-process inventory finished goods and supplies from their origin to the point of final consumption. Supply-chain management is the design and management of seamless, value added processes across organizational boundaries to meet the real needs of the end customer. A challenging task for an organization is determining what to measure. When an organization focuses on a particular issue or process it can better identify what needs to be done and then can better do it.
