Increasing Positive Perceptions Of Diversity For Religious Conservative Students, Alison Cook, R. R. Callister
Alison Cook
Evidence suggests that positive perceptions toward diversity enhance the potential group and organizational benefits resulting from diversity. Given the make-up of today’s organizations, encountering diversity has become the norm rather than the exception. As such, it is becoming increasingly important to address diversity issues, and take steps to increase positive perceptions of diversity within the business classroom in order to carry that advantage into the work-place. Religious conservative students present a unique challenge to diversity education in that they likely hold value laden attitudes that lack alignment with diversity principles. This study prescribes a scaffolding approach to increase positive perceptions …

This PDW is all about “The Questions We Ask?” In fact, it is also about “The Questions We Should Ask!” With the fairly recent and highly publicized breaches of ethics among members of the business community, there is a need to re-examine specific strategies employed in all kinds of organizations. Ethics in publishing is one of the areas that many disciplines have recently been addressing. This workshop will provide faculty, administrators, and doctoral students the forum to …

The Uses Of Personal Typewriting By Students At Utah State University And Skyview High School, Joseph Henry Wilson
All Graduate Plan B and other Reports, Spring 1920 to Spring 2023
The changing concept of the uses of the typewriter has had an enormous effect on the teaching of typewriting. In addition to the vocational objective, the personal-use objective has been added. Personal-use typewriting has as its goal the material that the student is likely to typewrite for himself; vocational typewriting is focused on what others want typed for them. The distinguishing characteristic in teaching the two is therefore not the skill accomplishment so much as the kind of material involved (13).
A study released by Hosler and Maske (4) seems to substantiate the reasoning that students in a personal-use typing …
