At the end of June 2022, the author began the process of establishing client relations with a local business in Pittsburg, Kansas, The Meat Shed. One of the co-owners, Matt DeMoss, agreed to let his establishment be a client for a graduate project. After initial meetings. A multi-phase study was completed to determine the effectiveness of corporate sponsorship efforts at Pittsburg State University. Pittsburg State engages in corporate sponsorship to partner with local and national companies, seeking to benefit both the university and its partners. The study sought to find factors that improve the effectiveness of such sponsorship efforts as determined by stakeholders’ ability to recall sponsors, differences in attitudes toward national and local sponsors, and how brand attachment to the university or sponsoring brands effects perception of the sponsorship alliances. The Renewable Energy industry is one of the most pivotal economic movements. As more companies shift to the corporate sustainability model, this shift must be supported by using alternative form of fuels which will not negatively impact the current and future environment and also preserve resources for future generations. However, the renewable energy industry has lagged. By examining history and status quo of the industry and the relationships between the legal, infrastructural, and economic structures surrounding it, a clearer understanding of what is holding back the industry may be gained and potential solutions may be discussed.
