Like many states, particularly those in the so-called "rust bucket" of the industrial north, Wisconsin is concerned about its business climate. A number of different steps with the potential to make Wisconsin's business environment more hospitable have been taken. For example, the state income tax has been reduced; the state has partially funded a business development organization, Forward Wisconsin, to attract new companies to the area; and a state-appointed panel, the Wisconsin Strategic Development Commission, has filed its recommendations concerning the actions that should be considered in revitalizing the region's business community. This article provides another perspective. It reports upon …

The paper addresses the issues of definition of "product" and "product life" as well as reviewing existing commentry on curve shape as a precursor to exmining the relevant issues relating to the PLC shape and length. Drawing on the body of insight provided by sales forecasting and diffusion theory as well as the standard PLC literature …

Lupin Processing : A New Development, R S. Coffey
Lupin Processing : A New Development, R S. Coffey
Journal of the Department of Agriculture, Western Australia, Series 4
For a number of years Grain Pool marketing representatives have approachd stockfeed manufacturers around the world in an attempt to broaden the market for Western Australian lupin seed.
Wherever there was enough consumer interest to conduct a nutritional evaluation of the product, lupins were found to be non competitive for inclusion in both pig and poultry rations, while at the same price being acceptable as a cattle feed ingredient. The reason for this disparity proved to be the varying degrees of fibre digestability of lupins for the various livestock tested.
It became apparent that the fibrous lupin seed coat or …
