This research aims at studying an elderly employment model for the Thai automotive industry. Mixed methods with a sequential exploratory strategy were utilized. Grounded theory was employed by using in-depth interviews to investigate the characteristics of elderly employment in the Thai automotive industry. For this stage of the research, theoretical and purposive sampling was used to select 32 key informants from four groups of stakeholders: (1) elderly workers, (2) employers or human resource managers, (3) government officers, and (4) academics. Various types of corporate social responsibility (CSR) are perceived differently by parties associated with those activities because CSR is driven by different motives. The objective of this study is to investigate the relationship between corporate governance (CG), corporate social responsibility (CSR) disclosure, and economic consequences. Broadly speaking, the CG variables consist of ownership structure and management/control structure. The CSR disclosure variables consist of economic, environmental, social, human rights, societal, and product responsibility dimensions. The Impact Of Social Capital On Crowdfunding Performance, Lady Aprilia, Sigit S. Wibowo

This study aims to analyze the effects of social capital—namely structural, relational, and cognitive dimensions—on crowdfunding performance using Kitabisa.com as a case study for 2013-2015. Using robust ordinary least squares methods, we find two important results. Structural dimension, which is measured by Facebook friends owned by an entrepreneur, affects crowdfunding success. The cognitive dimension, which is measured by the number of words that are written by entrepreneurs in the platform, also affects crowdfunding opportunities in order to wage a successful campaign. This study aims to delineate the key socio-emotional needs important for voice behavior. To do this, we examine individual and contextual factors as mechanisms underlying how psychological ownership and perceived support influence employee voice behavior. Employing survey research of 210 employees from two big companies in Indonesia, analyses revealed that perceived supervisor support had direct and indirect effects on voice behavior, and job-based psychological ownership is a crucial mediator of the relationship between organization-based psychological ownership and perceived supervisor support on voice behavior. Filipino College Students' Views On The Value Of Phisical Appeal To Political Leadership, Jonalou S. Labor

Musings of thirty-six college students from three higher educational institutions in the Manila, Philippines were used to look at the constructs of physical appeal and its power to influence leadership. By thematically analyzing the musings of the students, the research found physical appeal concepts that are associated to leadership. The study revealed that the students perceive leadership in two ways: from “within” the leader such as skills and knowledge, and from the “outside” where leadership is associated to goals, to influences, and to authority. With a robust recent history of reform and opening, joining of the World Trade Organization, and negotiating a myriad of regional and global trade agreements, Vietnam has emerged as a promising destination for foreign direct investment (FDI) and cross-border mergers and acquisitions (M&A). In this paper, we provide an overview of Vietnam’s inbound mergers and acquisitions and review the two main driving forces of inbound M&A, which are the legal framework reform process and the equitization of State-owned enterprises. We close by providing directions for future research in the area of cross-border M&As.
