Marriott Student Review Volume I Issue 2: Women And Millennials In Business, Marianna Richardson
Marriott Student Review Volume I Issue 2: Women And Millennials In Business, Marianna Richardson
Marriott Student Review
Our second edition of MSR is dedicated to two populations – millennials and women. Currently, millennials comprise approximately 35%[1] of the United States’ workforce. Women hold 51.7% of the jobs in the U.S. job market.[2] This MSR issue focuses on the status of these groups in the business world. The reason for this emphasis is that most MSR writers and readers are millennials (which is defined as people between the ages of 18-24) and all of us work with or for women (as well as some of us are women).

The research used a combination of online surveys and interviews with business owners and managers to gather data, as well as an extensive literature review for the basis of the analysis. Research results from the local survey …

Profiling The International New Venture -A Literature Review Of The Empirical Evidence, Natasha Evers
The ITB Journal
International New Ventures (INVs) are defined as "business organisations that, from inception, seek to derive significant competitive advantage from the use of resources and the sale of outputs in multiple countries" (McDougall et al., 1994: 470). Globalisation, the dismantling of trade barriers, and the pervasive impact of new technologies have created unprecedented opportunities for young firms to go international early in their life cycle. This is also evidenced by the large number of long established firms that have recently internationalised. In light of these global trends, size of the firm is no longer a key determinant of internationalisation as it …

How to draw the line between public and private is a foundational, first-principles question of privacy law, but the answer has implications for intellectual property, as well. This project is one in a series of papers about first-person disclosures of information in the privacy and intellectual property law contexts, and it defines the boundary between public and nonpublic information through the lens of social science —namely, principles of trust.
Patent law’s public use bar confronts the question of whether legal protection should extend to information previously disclosed to a small group of people. I present evidence that shows that current …
