Aniar is a terroir based restaurant located in Galway’s West End. The word terroir is usually associated with wine-making: the combination of factors, including soil, climate, and environment, that gives a wine its distinctive character. In the case of our restaurant, we use the word in order to describe the way in which our food comes from the specific place that is Galway and the west of Ireland. We hope to reveal the distinct and various food stuffs that make up our particular landscape, through our farms, the wildlands and the shores that surround us. The natural course of the …

Paternity leave has remained an under-studied phenomenon in the United States. The US stands in contrast to countries such as Sweden and Norway, which have a history of government-regulated paid time off for fathers of new children. Therefore new fathers in the US face a unique situation regarding their decision of whether or not to take whatever form of paternity leave may be available to them. This study explores what aspects of new fathers’ identities are salient regarding the paternity leave decision. As a result NGOs in countries such as Egypt, Tunisia, and Morocco must become creative in the ways they develop and implement projects.
